2B1 is the musical journey of two artists whose paths and voices have intertwined for more than twenty years. Their story is one of shared influences, distinct backgrounds, and a connection that has evolved into something truly special.
A Partnership Built on Harmony
When Esterina and Rudy first began singing together, something clicked instantly. Their voices didn’t just blend, they belonged together. Over time, that connection grew into the foundation of 2B1. Their harmonies feel organic, their timing instinctive, and their shared energy unmistakable.
Their chemistry on stage and as longtime musical partners is what their audience comes to love most. It’s what turns familiar songs into heartfelt moments and what keeps listeners returning again and again.
A Life in Music
Together, Esterina and Rudy have performed across theatres, restaurants, and private stages throughout Toronto, including Monte Cristo Restaurant, Ristorante 101, and 1505 North. They’ve collaborated with celebrated musicians like jazz pianist Joe Sealy and built a devoted following of listeners who feel as though they’re part of the 2B1 family.
With a repertoire of hundred songs, their music reflects the lives they’ve lived and the countless moments they’ve shared – years of creativity, companionship, and sheer joy in making music together.

Esterina Finocchiaro
Esterina’s musical upbringing began in Italy and blossomed in Toronto, where she and her family moved when she was four. With two older brothers always playing guitar, the house was filled with an eclectic mix of influences – from The Beatles to Black Sabbath, Nat King Cole to Ella Fitzgerald.
This wide musical world shaped Esterina’s distinctive voice: warm, clear, expressive, and beautifully complementary to Rudy’s. Her natural musicality and deeply genuine presence make her performances feel both intimate and effortless.
Esterina has been teaching physical fitness for as long as she’s been singing and modeling, bringing a unique balance of art and athleticism to her pursuits

Rudy Mayes
As the youngest of eleven children, Rudy grew up surrounded by sound. Gospel harmonies, jazz riffs, and country melodies filled the air of his childhood, shaping the musical sensibilities he carries today. He began singing at just ten years old and soon developed a heartfelt, expressive style marked by his unmistakable baritone voice.
Rudy’s warm personality, natural charisma, and trademark “million-dollar smile” have made him a memorable presence on stage. Over the years, he has headlined shows such as Unforgettable Brothers of Song and The Kings of Swing and the Fabulous Crooners, and continues to charm audiences with his classic yet completely personal vocal style.
